I have an AMD Bulldozer 8 Core Processor and 16gb ram even at 1% speed though I do need to boost it up in the menus, it's playable for the most part but when it comes to the enemy syndicates having time bombs they blow up before I can get out of range or pick them up and diffuse them. Is there any extra programme out there to slow it down more?

Sound works but I copied the sounds from DATADISK/DATA to DATA, then reloaded DOSBOX to make it aware of the changes (otherwise when you DIR the files aren't there as it's something to do with the way MOUNT works...), and the UZI still sounds the same as the Pistol in the game. Can someone with the original on a 486 PC confirm this? How can I make the UZI sound work? Also haven't tried the screams sound yet. Cheers, Alistair G.

The game runs perfectly. I have not completed it yet, so I don't want to give it 100%, and I will not do so anyway until I can hear the screams when I use the flamethower :)

Maybe it is just not implemented in the DOS version.

almost perfect using default settings with excellent speed. only problem is missing sampled sounds when characters are on fire... there are no screams... any ideas?

Using .70 (on Linux) seems to work. did have to copy the files from the main folder into data folder to get sound to work. Both loading and saving of games worked.

Syndicate runs great on default settings. I have almost beaten the game again. I guess the key here is xms=16? Like I said, I'll be done with this game in a pinch. Thanks!

I have the EA classic edition (Syndicate + American Revolt Mission Disk) which is run directly from CD without installation.

I am using DOSbox 0.65 Win32 and I had to set xms memory to 16 mb for the game to run. Otherwise it would crash after the Sound config screen.

The strange thing is that I have a real DOS PC with 64 mb of RAM and the game works!

The game is best run in "normal" mode - so don't chose "auto" core with the new releases of Dosbox, or it will default to Dynamic core which makes the game very slow and choppy. Otherwise this runs very smoothly.

I have got sounds and music works after copying all files from directory which contains main.exe to /data directory.

It runs, and i get it to run just by using the main.exe file. It even goes through the intro. However, the mouse is a bit choppy, not much of a problem, but once a mission starts if i click anywhere on screen i get a weird error.

Works fine on XP P4-2800 with 512 MB RAM using v0.62. I'm using cycles=10000, sblaster=true, xms=false, ems=false, core=normal, machine=svga, and my SYND.BAT file data is as follows: "@main >nul: /iirq7 /idma1 /iio$220 /c0". It used to be set to irq5 but i only got music that way.

I runned the game with sound and running synd.exe. Used Boxer frontend to configure, enabled Sound Blaster, MPU401 and adlib (I noticed that some games dont detect sound blaster if you dont enable adlib emulation), and needed to configure size of memory to 16 MB, at 32 MB the game wouldn't run from synd.exe.
Only problem I had is the mouse cursor flicking a bit, nothing deadly.

I have the Electronic Arts CD-ROM Classics version of this game with the add-on pack. I had to run synd.exe which then allows you to pick the main game or the American Revolt mission pack. Seems to work well so far.
