Edit on previous post (2017-02-10 17:46) firedropdl
There is obviously supposed to be a backslash between "Acclaim" and "Trilogy" above. Not sure if I goofed or if the site filtered that out of my comment.

Happy Hunting!
CD Not Found Error (fix) (2017-02-10 17:44) firedropdl
DON'T change the default directory Alien Trilogy wants to install at (C:ACCLAIMTRILOGY). I spent hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't recognize my CD image and THIS is the problem. Runs fine now.

Also, if you get a distorted screen trying the 16-bit color mode, just use the 256k mode. According to a review I read there is only 40 extra colors in the 16-bit palette and it's not even noticeable.
0.63 Dynamic, 30000 cycles - Pretty fast **UPDATE (2005-03-08 22:59) red_avatar
Update: the problem I had with Dynamic mode were connected with the DOS/32A Dos extender. Using the original DOS4GW makes the game work fine in 30000 cycles which makes it run far smoother than in Normal mode. So now Alien Trilogy is nearly perfectly supported.
0.63 Normal, 15000 cycles - Playable but only just (2005-03-08 22:52) red_avatar
Dynamic gives me problems ("Illegal read from ...")so I had to try Normal which means that any cycles over 15000 make the sound stutter. If dynamic worked, I believe this game would be pretty playable but on normal, it's pretty slow. Just about playable and if you shrink the viewing screen it's a bit faster but I'd say wait until dynamic supports it.
Note (2004-05-01 08:53) MasterLink.EXE
It works but runs slow....
