To make it working :

For an easy way, use something like D-Fend,
which I used and took the "Complex Dos Games" template.

- Install it from the CD
- Copy the full content of the CD to a subdirectory of where you installed it, for example.
- Mount that subdirectory as a CD drive,
- Make sure you modify the COMANCHE.CDR file to reflect the CD you mounted previously.

You should be able to play Comanche now !

(Though I haven't been able to get the joystick working)
crash after start (2008-04-04 22:54) esa
You have to mount both the game directory and your CD-Rom drive.
crash after start (2008-03-09 21:24) luis
Does someone can help me here? I tried version .70, and .63, but it didn't work. I also have turned off the ems/xms. I really need to play this game! My computer is a Vaio notebook using Windows XP.
I'm receiving this error message: "file 'MEDIUM.DTL' has an error or is not in a default directory"
Help-me please!
Crashes on loading (2007-06-26 04:00) EFcrazy
Crashes just after the splash screen saying that the file tpic.dta is missing or corrupt. Any ideas? I'm running XP btw.
No EMS for this one. (2006-11-20 12:20) Neville
In the old days, this one had to be loaded with no memory managers at all, not even EMM386.EXE or it would crash. Try with no EMS or even no EMS nor XMS on, it works fine here. Correct gaming speed is around 10,000 cycles.
Supported? (2005-09-15 05:46) cougar
Comanche works perfectly on my system, on version 0.63. Haven't had any problems yet.
Almost worthy of "supported" status. (2003-10-17 19:04) The Cranky Hermit
There's just one problem. When you quit, you get an "Exit to error: Unhandled CPU opcode", and DOSBox kills itself. Oh well. Hail voxels.
Note: (2003-03-31 19:20) Big Brother LS
crashes directly after starting
