Sound Issues (2023-03-14 07:29) RumikoTheFox
Been having issues getting the sound to work properly. Used DOSBox 0.63, 0.65, and 0.74 and it's all the same issue. The music is incredibly off and there's no voiceover for any of the dialogue. I remember playing this on DOSBox years ago with it working fine. I wish I could remember which version. I'm on my laptop right now, but my desktop has the same issue. I also tried playing in-browser on MyAbandonWare, but it also had the same sound issues. Both my computers are running off Win10.
Adventure - Supported (2016-04-01 21:27) ge2001
Middel-rated graphics, but a special kind. I think i should spend some time to play...

Test period: 10 Minutes
Win 7-64 Home Premium
Intel i5 M430, 4GB RAM
AMD Mobility RADEON HD 5000 Series (5650)
D-Fend and DOSBox 0.74
CD-version & DosBox 0.70 (2007-04-25 06:54) MAN-biker
Works fine now! No more lock-ups in some locations as before (DosBox 0.65 and later), so CD-version is 100% playable now.
Lock up point (2006-08-01 02:31) Arctic-Cat
Well, not really a lock up. But I discovered the game works up until the point you open and discover the box on the wrecked ship, and Jarlath finds what you're doing. It gets stuck on the first part where you see him and there does not go any further.
Finally work in 0.65 (2006-07-30 03:13) Arctic-Cat
Yeah, I can finally confirm too this works great in 0.65. Animations now synchronize better and don't simply fly through. Scary how my last comment on this was almost three years ago.
no music or speech (2006-07-07 02:07) skul
i can play the game but only hear sound effects.no music or speech just a clicking sound.
click,click,click - click,click,click.
Works fine with 0.65 (2006-03-30 14:21) dircules
Gamesound is performed correctly now, which means:
- animation sequences are running at a relatively normal pace
- I can play over a position (at the waterfall) where the game used to crash under 0.63
needs -ioctl (Windows XP) (2004-11-20 22:38) Jiri
The CD must be mounted with -ioctl (tested in 0.63 on Windows XP). Read the DOSBox readme if you need more info about the CD-ROM mounting.
Note: (2003-10-12 05:52) Arctic-Cat
For the most part, the game seems to run very well. Although, during the animation sequences, it seems that they completely lose timing. I think this is because they don't pick up sync with the audio coming from the redbook audio from the CD. The sequences simply fly even though the audio from the CD is playing fine.

Other than that. It's playable.
