Music speed issues (2022-05-18 22:42) |

Using DOSBox 0.74-2.1 on Windows 10 x64, I'm running into an issue where transitioning from between the castle/battle view to the main map management screen causes the music to speed up. It will keep happening until the music bugs out entirely. I've found no way to resolve the issue. |

Castles II CD glitch (2014-05-18 20:47) |

Castles II has a very odd glitch on Dosbox 0.74 which prevents the CD from being read. I have an original CD for Castles II, a cue/bin copy of that CD, an internal disc drive, and an external disc drive. No matter what parameters I use to mount a disc drive, the game only works when I use the internal drive. While Castles II does install when the disc is loaded on the external drive or when the image file is used, the game will not run in those cases. |

Some of my post was removed...
----------
For Win2k, XP and Linux, use this syntax: 1. To find out which drive letter uses which drive number: mount -cd 2. mount g g:\ -t cdrom -usecd 1 -ioctl For windwos 9x use the same steps above but replace the -ioctl with -aspi. Hope this helps. |

For Win2k, XP and Linux, use this syntax:
1. To find out which drive letter uses which drive letter:
mount -cd
2. mount :\ -t cdrom -usecd -ioctl
example: mount g g:\ -t cdrom -usecd 1 -ioctl
For windwos 9x use the same steps above but replace the -ioctl with -aspi.
Hope this helps. |

to get the game to recognise the cd rom you should mount the cd drive like this example (the f will be changed to whatever you cd drive letter is)
mount f f:\ -t cdrom -usecd 0
sometimes though when you run the game it seems to get stuck on a black screen though when it does get to the game it runs perfectly. |
