Fix for install problems (2015-10-06 14:58) IkeFox
I tried the multilingual CD version in DOSBox 0.74 and I had to mount the CD drive using

mount d /mount/point -t cdrom -label SHADOWCD

to successfully install the game. When using the mount command without the -t and -label options the install.exe only gives the error message "Install path must be C:infogramshadow.cd".

Of course you also have to mount a C drive in DOSBox, or else the install.exe only shows an empty screen with some French text at the bottom.

Game version: multilingual CD-version from 1994
Game media: CD-ROM (1)
Soundcard settings: FM/Samples:Soundblaster

The game is working perfectly fine in DOSBox with a setting of apx. 10.000 cycles. In order to get the character walking faster, the animation speed could be increased in the game options. The game performed best playing it from an ISO image created from the game CD. By the way, as a bonus the game CD includes a visit to the Lovecraft museum to be started with “museum”.
CD Label (2007-08-13 04:18) coton
Using DOSBox 0.71 under Linux I had to set the CD label as "SHADOWCD" when mounting it in order for the game to install:

mount d /mount/point -t cdrom -label SHADOWCD

Or else the game would continually prompt to insert the disk.

Other than that the game runs perfectly.
DOSBox version 0.63 (2004-12-05 04:49) Altomar
