Playable (2009-06-07 03:28) Chris
It runs fine. When in 24 bit mode, it is slow. If you change the resolution, it crashes.
Run 24bits (2008-08-01 17:31) Pietry
Start the game and press F11, choice best resolution; just it =D

i have PC DOS CD-ROM of this game. there are problems with installation of DOS version. thanks to Anamon for correct method of running this game.

the game works fine in 0.72, the sounds are correct (no slowdowns), CD-Audio is played fine, too. i run 8-bit color version without any slowdowns on Intel Celeron 2.8Ghz and 512MB of RAM. 16-bit version runs slow on my system thou...
Sound bug only (2008-01-28 20:14) Alexx
DOSbox v0.72
Sounds of car (engine, etc) is played nearly two times faster than normal, but other sounds' OK.
Even 24bit version running good with correct "core" settings (on Athlon 64X2 6000+). In high resolutions (800X600) FPS is quite low, but still playable.
Installation fails (2007-07-18 20:50) Anamon
Game runs fine, but the installer crashes with the message "couldn't change dir". Windows users can run the installer from Windows, for all others, copying the CD-ROMs root directory and "GTADOS" and "GTADATA" subdirectories to harddisk should do the trick.
Doesn't run (2004-08-21 06:18) Mephisto1982
these comments are about 0.61.

the 8bit version crashes dosbox with the error:
Exit to error: Pagefault didn't correct page

the 24 bit version cant find a suitable vesa mode and exits.

The 8-bit colour version is playable but rather slow (on a 2.6GHz Pentium 4C with hyperthreading enabled). The audio is choppy, but still useful.
