can't seem to get diagonal tracks! Any one got any suggestions? I know your supposed to press the "SHIFT" and use keypad 1,3,7,9 to go diagonal but just does not seem to work. This is my all time favorite game from the DOS years, would really like to play it again.

I got rid of this error by running the install.exe file in the Transport Tycoon folder and changing the default sound mapper for effecs and music... after that no more error messages :)

hope it works for whoever is having problems with this game...

Transport tycoon is my favorite game.
I use DOSBox version: 0.70 on PENTIUM CELERON 3.07GHz and run properly.
Very good and no trouble found.
Great job.

Could not install, locked the whole system. Installed using VDMS. Could not run it with VDMS so after installation I used DosBox to run the game. It only worked fine after I set the CORE to DYNAMIC and the amount of cycles to 50000. This seems a lot but after testing for a while it was the best setting on my PC. 900Mhz AMD Duron

edit your config file from dosbox (dosbox.conf)
around the 53th line or so there is an option core
set it to core=full
