Works With 0.74 (2017-03-04 01:10) tooly111
This game works perfect with 0.74. For those having issues with Music don't forget that the music only starts after you cross the bridge in the first scene. You only need to select Soundblaster as the sound device in the setup menu for music and sound affect to work. Also, the music is CD-Audio Tracks so make sure you have the original CD or bin/cue files.
The main settings I used are:
[sdl]
fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=original
windowresolution=original
output=ddraw
autolock=true
sensitivity=100
waitonerror=true
usescancodes=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper-0.74.map

[dosbox]
machine=svga_s3
captures=Captures
memsize=64

[render]
frameskip=0
aspect=true
scaler=normal2x

[cpu]
core=auto
cputype=auto
cycles=45000
cycleup=10
cycledown=20
Supported (2016-03-20 17:43) ge2001
If you think some animations are to slow increase the CPU-Cycles, in my case, like red_avatar, from Auto to 15000.
No Music without the original CD/ISO.

Playtime until now: 10 Minutes
Win 7-64 Home Premium
Intel i5 M430, 4GB RAM
AMD Mobility RADEON HD 5000 Series (5650)
D-Fend and DOSBox 0.74
no music (2010-05-06 18:23) texmet
I tried almost everything, but my CD version of AITD3 won't play any music (sound effects are OK).

May anyone who played with music tell me his settings?

0.63, tested and everything OK (2005-09-29 11:11) acidillo
The admins site deleted my previous posts.... sorry, now i tested with a new version (the other was wrong) and the game works 100% with sound and music in my case. (Spanish version)
This game is FULLY SUPPORTED
0.63 Normal, 15000 cycles - Near Perfect (2005-03-08 23:50) red_avatar
The reason the other has no music is because AITD2&3 are CD games which use CD audio for music. The game is near perfect otherwise.
DOSBox version 0.63 (2004-11-23 17:37) Altomar
The only problem that I met in alone in the dark was that it did not play music.
I enjoyed it up to the end without some other problem
