Mouse Issues "quick" fix (2010-09-12 08:40)

After fiddling around to try and find a solution I did 2 things. The first was to change the graphics from the 320X240 VGA to the 640X480 VESA 1.2 BIOS Extension. This wouldn't effect the mouse, but it does make the graphics a lot better with smooth less pixelated models. The second was done when the Y axis malfunctioned during gameplay. Press ESC to get the main game menu and select "Device Setup". Then select "Serial COM 1" in the "Mouse" menu at top. Select "OK". Wiggle the mouse and nothing happens. Go back into that same menu and re-select "DOS Driver" then hit "OK". You will have full mouse control again. It will fail again, but at least now you don't have to close DOSBox and you can continue with your current game.

The only problem with running this game is that the Y Axis randomly fails at any point in time during game play. It could occur midway through the first round or several rounds later but it is guaranteed to fail at some point and you'll have to close DOSBox and reopen the game. It does affect the enjoyment of the game as you cannot shoot the ball without the y axis.

It runs ok for me in v0.72 but I can't prevent it from stuttering now and again (most noticably the music). Have tried it on a few PC's with various settings and the same thing seems to happen.

Program crashes after any of the videos that the game includes. 640x480 VESA is not suported, only under 320x240 VGA resdolution is playable.
