Where can I download Windows 3.11? (DOSBOX 0.74 compatible)
note about share.exe program (2012-07-14 15:45) Glitchologteam
I recently encountered the problem with Printshop Gold Edition. I used a program emulator called FAKESHAR.EXE and I was able to run it and save my work

Windows 3.11 is working very well using Dominus Guide. The only problem, like Dominus say in the guide, is that program that use share.exe will not be able to run. I only have 1 game for Windows 3.11 and 1 program. The game work very well but I didn't tested the program. You can mount a CD or A Floppy and windows 3.11 will detect it (AWSOME). I have to thanks Dominus for the guide
share dos service (2010-01-14 16:17) zolimax
it is unavailable to run applications, with needs share.exe dos service. so, it's impossible to run MS Office (5 or 6) in Win 3.11 at dosbox (0.73).
when i try run run share.exe from dos 6.22- it return a error and not starts.
that's a problem.
0.72 (2008-05-23 17:50) Pietry
Yes Win3.11 works well in dosbox072, but when exe ms-dos and return on windows, its a bug and end dosbox =(
Runs just great! (2008-02-29 19:21) Jamezzz
In DosBOX 0.72, Windows 3.11 runs perfectly. The graphics problem that DOSBoxRocks described, is due to the standard graphics driver. When I installed the S3 864 video driver, I can even use 1200x1600 resolution, fully functional with 16.7M colours. For sound, I use the standard Soundblaster 1.5 driver, works great for WAVE and MID sound.
runs very well (2007-10-09 01:10) DOSBoxRocks
Under DosBOX 0.72 it runs very well, but there's no sound and I can't make graphics better than 640x480 and 4 Bits (16 colors). And if you change to DOS, DOSBox becomes a graphic problem. you have to restart DosBOX and starting Windows manually again...
Error fixable, hardware issues (2006-10-12 19:42) MNGoldenEagle
Error is fixed by disabling EMS in the CONF file for DOSBox. There are some issues with hardware control: the switch from full-screen DOS Shell mode to Windows will corrupt the graphics requiring a restart of Windows 3.11; it needs printer and network support, which DOSBox doesn't currently emulate (direct hardware access is also blocked by WinXP). It also is unable to create permanent swap files or use 32-bit disk/file access.
Note: (2006-10-12 14:49) MNGoldenEagle
Shows the logo, then halts with the following error message:
"ERROR: Unsupported expanded-memory driver already installed. Remove the driver from CONFIG.SYS."
