If you have the original Carmageddon just make a copy of that directory and name it Carmasplat for example. Then copy all files from the splat pack into the copied original game dir. This worked for me. I coppied the 3DFX patches. Installed nGlide and starts carmav.exe
remember to set the memory to 32 MB / 64 MB in dosbox

Well i dunno how you two guys managed to install splatpack. I'm using the hykwongs svn build and using imgmount with both the splatpack and carma iso's...choose max install...all ok until it wants original carma to finish install at which point it says 'this is not a valid carma cd'. I assume its not actually choosing to then read the carma iso after installing from splat iso. It says you can rerun the setup from the now partly installed splat game folder after inserting orig carma iso. This doesn't work either! If you soley mount carma iso and run the setup from the splat game folder it says previous installation corrupted.
Splat Pack works perfectly on 0.74 (2011-09-02 16:41)
I did a medium install of both Carmageddon and Splat Pack and both run perfectly on official 0.74 DosBox. I mount the original CD via imgmount command.
Tested standard software mode, hires software mode (-hires) and voodoo1 and voodoo2 3dfx executables (via hykwong's SVN from july 5 2011) BTW. All work perfectly.
I think Splat Pack compatibility should be upped to "supported".

In the installation it's possible to choose Normal or Maximum. The keys are laggy but pressing the arrows or the tab several times, I could select full install. Carmageddon works well both on software and 3dfx mode. I'll try splat pack in a few hours and report here.

Works fine, although can't choose anything else than "Minimal" installation. There's a button for Normal and Maximum, but I can't move with the arrows.
Menu, mouse, and cutscenes are flickering. Game is running slowly.

Weird thing, Carmageddon (not Splay Pack) works out of the box.
