I set the setup of the English HOF version correctly but when I start the game it freezes.
I set the music to 'MT-32 or LAPC-1' and the others to 'SB' or 'SB PRO'. With this config the game freezes after finishes the 'Initializing sound card' process.
If I set the music and the sound effects too to 'MT-32' and the digitized samples to 'SB' or 'SB PRO' then the game starts and I can watch the main menu and the intro with ROLAND music but when I start a new game or try to load an old one the DOSBOX freezes and closes itself!
If I set to 'SB' or 'SB PRO' the config the game starts and runs correctly.
I checked the version of the game and it is 1.40.
I have got the German version too and it works correctly with 'MT-32'+'SB' or 'SB PRO'. The version of the German HOF is 1.41.
I use Dosbox 0.74 + Munt 1.5.0 with
MT-32 Control v1.07 or
MT-32 Control BlueRidge or
CM-32L/LAPC-1 Control v1.02
and the English HOF always freezes when I try to use Roland music. |
