I have gotten the Defender of the Empire Expansion, but keep getting a R6001 error "null pointer assignment." I do not run a joystick, just mouse and keyboard. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Unfortunately this doesn't appear to have worked.
All three were already set to 'True' in my config, and I am still receiving the error message :( |

For those of you having problems with this error message "Using 2000k of EMS will add more music and speech. set FILES=30 in your config.sys"
You need to go into your DOSBox.conf configuration file and set EMS support to true and it should work.

have the same problem as VollachR.
"Using 2000k of EMS will add moe music and speech. set FILES=30 in your config.sys"
so what to do now ??? when checking with "mem" it says
634 Kb free conventional memory
31664 Kb free extended memory
31664 Kb free expanded memory
so where's the point ? |

I use a Logitech Attack 3 as well. The Joystick works when moving around the menus but as soon as you enter a ship to fly the ship just starts to spin around. I tried "[joystick]" timed=false.
But it doesn't work for me.
I'm running Kubuntu 7.10 |

I can't get Tie Fighter to work on any DOSBox version I tried, currently using the latest 0.71 version.
My problem is that when I try to run the game it gives me the following message:
Using 2000K of EMS will add more music and speech
set FILES=30 in your config.sys
I don't know what to do to make it work, can anybody help me, please? |

Game has problems with some joysticks, in my case the Logitech Attack 3. To fix this edit this line in the dosbox config file under "[joystick]"
