Alternatively, you can go into the DRV_DIR directory of the Hulk install and switch the MIDI.DRV and SOUND.DRV files over from Sound Blaster to PC Speaker.
The game will not only now run, it will also sound as crappy as it did on my mum's computer in the 1990s. The true retro experience. :/ |

I had the same DMA crashing problem when using 0.74. It works fine with the previous version 0.73. I set sound to SB1 and run HULK.EXE - works fine. |

Having problem, not sure what it is exactly. If I don't skip through the intro/startup screens it will crash, with an infinite-repeating sound. I can skip the startup screen and jump into the game.. I played through 2 tutorials, but at the end of the second one I got the same crash problem. This is a version I got from Abandonia, not on CD, so I dont see a setup file.. just the hulk.exe and various sub-directories. Any suggestions? |

On the CD edition, voices are "played" too fast (reducing CPU% doesn't change thing). It's like people are speaking very fast... that's almost funny, but it doesn't impact the gameplay. |

It has a tendency to slow down to the point of crawling.
