Working fine in .073 (2009-08-19 01:07) plateofshrimp
Fired up, sound, graphics, all work great. Didn't notice any glitches. Awesome.
Update for 0.73 and JF2 v1.1B with VGA data (2009-07-20 02:39) bp
Works well enough to fly missions. A few minor glitches that lead to a hang, like clicking the "notes/hints" button in the main manu.
No change from 0.63 to 0.65 (2006-09-06 11:09) B@za
Unfortunately, the game doesn't work any better in version 0.65 than it did in 0.63.
Update for 0.63 (2004-11-23 14:00) B@za
Back to the 0.58 situation I'm afraid. It locked up in all CPU modes, with a blank screen in simple and normal emulation, and just a freeze with the others. One additional thing I found out is that JF2 hates memory managers because they re-map memory areas required by the game. The instructions recommend that the video regions A000-C7FF inside the initial 1 megabyte are not remapped by any memory managers. It seems likely therefore that JF2 requires direct access to these memory zones.

The forum doesn't handle comments like I expected. The error reported is: Exit to error: Unhandled CPU opcode
Update for 0.61 (2004-03-29 14:02) B@za
Slight improvement from 0.58 and 0.60 in that dosbox reports an error and exits instead of freezing up. It exits the game in the same place it froze up in previous versions.

The following error is reported. Unfortunately it doesn't specify which opcode is not supported.

Exit to error: Unhandled CPU opcode
Update for 0.60 (2003-10-31 08:04) B@za
The previous note applies for 0.58 and 0.60.

Game freezes after attempting to enter flight. I remember a similiar problem when using real DOS, and had to clean boot in order to get the flight mode to work. Since I have no way of doing this with DOSbox, I suspect there may be a similiar problem. Memory Managers was a possible reason why I had to clean boot previously, however I am unsure if turning off EMS memory achieves the same effect with DOSbox
