QuickBASIC in Hercules mode. (2015-06-17 13:05) Ercan
In Hercules graphic card mode, SCREEN 3 does not work.
Ctrl-Break IS supported, use Ctrl-Scroll Lock instead. (2011-11-13 06:13) Shinkahentai
To stop program execution, you now need to press 'Ctrl-Scroll Lock'. You can resume with F5 as usual. If execution was ended prematurely and the program was writing to an open file, just type 'close' in the immediate window and press ENTER to see the file results, but not if you're going to continue execution, otherwise you'd have to reopen and set the SEEK to the next file record...
Otherwise, it's works exactly as it always has.
Ctrl-Break key not supported? (2010-10-12 09:03) Robbie Mosaic
As SamuraiClinton pointed out, Ctrl-Break key combination is not supported when running QBasic. However, as I tried, when running DOSBox on NT 4, Ctrl-Break is supported! But with Windows 2000 and onwards, Ctrl-Break is not supported. Is this an issue of DOSBox, or another possibility, is this an issue of SDL? As I remember, if I use QEmu for Windows (another x86 emulator), Ctrl-Break is well supported. Just for your information.
Note: (2007-01-24 15:44) SamuraiClinton
I have been using QuickBASIC with DOSBox because my laptop dosen't have a PC speaker to produce primative PC speaker beeps with. Also, when running QuickBASIC 4.5 on DOSBox, pressing CTRL-BREAK or CTRL-C dosen't stop the program being tested. Will you release a new version of DOSBox that will allow CTRL-C or CTRL-BREAK to function in QuickBASIC 4.5? I believe that being unable to press CTRL-C or CTRL-BREAK alone slashes compatibility drasticly (in my opinion).
