Figured out the problem. (2009-08-11 06:53) ThePenciler
I found out that if the joystick portion of the dosbox.conf file isn't exactly this:

joysticktype=auto
timed=false
autofire=false
swap34=false
buttonwrap=false

And the joystick in MUGEN isn't exactly a 6 button joystick with:

[P1 Joystick] ;Default config
Jump = 1
Crouch = 2
Left = 3
Right = 4
A = 7
B = 6
C = 10
X = 8
Y = 5
Z = 9
Start = 12

as the set up then you get the erratic behavior. Unfortunately I'm only able to use my SuperSmartJoy with my SNES controller and only the 4 buttons + D-pad. PSX controller on my Soyo KikiJoy PSX adapter won't work beyond the first 2 buttons for the attack buttons.

Oh well. It's a start. :) 4 attack buttons is better than none at all for a fighting game (Neo-Geo).

The button codes seem to be all over the place. And I haven't figured out what number goes with which button in the cfg file.
Game runs, but super slow (Dosbox 0.65) (2006-03-30 15:21) VinnyJ
Apparently everything works, menu's, ingame fighting, but it's really slow.
DPMI Error fix (2005-05-09 13:24) Wapnet
download the cwsdpmi.exe, cwsdpr0.exe and cwsparam.exe files. Put those files in the mugan (root) dir. Now the DPMI error is fixed.

Can somebody told me how to change mugan to vesa1.0 ?
How? (2005-03-11 09:26) Manowar
How to solve problem whit DPMI error???
Some Progress (2004-05-07 01:08) O_H
Runs, but needs more VESA support. Program dies complaining of unsupported VESA mode.

"Can't change video mode."

Configured to run on Vesa 1.0

Also, slow startup (but can run)
