TFX was one of the best flight simulators available at the time. The original box came with a key reference card, and a hefty manual detailing the various missile payloads, planes and equipment available in the game as they are in real life.

Double click '''INSTALL.EXE''' from the CD to bring up a DOS install screen. On my Vista box it crashes afterward but this can be ignored.

Mount TFX directory and CD like normal in DOSBOX and run '''CONFIG.EXE''' to setup sound, keyboard, joystick, detail levels and then run '''TFX.BAT'''

start DID=E: tfx

where E is my physical CD drive volume, whereas in DOSBOX I was mounting the CD drive as D, hence the altered BAT file:
