Run before playing for the first time to remove the manual check:

Multiplayer
If multiplayer runs slow, make sure you patched the game, use IPX (network mode in multiplayer menu), and run the game with the pktspeed set to the highest ping of all the players.
To ping the other players after they connected, run
ipxnet ping
Example: if the ping is 100ms, run
war pktspeed=100
