The EXE shipped with the registered version appears incompatible with Dos Box (Though it does work marginally in WINE and MS-DOS) It can be worked around by uncompressing the exe (it was originally compressed by Silver Lightning, using PK-Lite)
Download unp.exe from
http://www.fys.uio.no/~dansh/distrib/arc/unp.exe
run 'unp hammer.exe' and then 'hammer' and the game should launch normally. |

The shareware version of Star Hammer seems well supported in DosBox (v0.60 and 0.58) but the registered version exits with an "Out of Memory" error in either version when it is run. |
