bug - dosbox 0.70 (2007-04-18 15:26) Myloch
NO problems installing and starting the game... only one problem: screen always become jerky, is shaking during the race... this doesn't happen in menus and intro. Using normal sb16 sound and max quality ingame option settings. I have original Micromachines 2 Special edition cdrom (with track editor) ... I'm italian, bought in italy... so european version I think. I mounted cdrom like this: "mount d d:\ -t cdrom -label MICRO_M_2 -ioctl"
Works fine in 0.63. Here's how. (2005-04-07 13:00) Prutger
Mount the CDrom drive like this: "mount d d:\ -t cdrom -label MICRO_M_2 (check the label of the CD in My Computer) -ioctl". Now you can run MM2 without ejecting the CD.
cdrom ejects automatically (2005-03-28 14:49) LeodeBeo
I installed 0.63 and mounted my cdrom F to F:\ -t cdrom. The game was installed on my harddisk (E:\). I mounted E to E:\. After typing mm2 the cdrom automatically ejects and the program asks for a cdrom. Again doesn't work. Th program aborts before I want to start the race...

I also tried this with the option LABEL and -usecd 0.

I hope anyone has the solution...

Thank you very much!
Works fine in 0.63 (2005-01-29 05:17) Minkus
I got it to work fine in 0.63 (you don't need to enable DPMI any more, this was removed in 0.61 and it'll work fine without it), but note the following:

1) Make sure you use the '-t cdrom' option when 'mount'ing the CD drive. The installer doesn't need it, but the game itself will just quit right after DOS4GW starts unless you put it in.

2) You need to hit Ctrl-F12 a few times to increase the cycles to get it to run quickly and smoothly, at least on my PC (Athlon 64 3400+).
It worked for me (2004-05-09 07:07) Max the Fire Raven
It worked 100% for me. I've installed the game in dosbox (the install ran very slow) but except that it was pretty smooth.
does NOT work (2004-01-14 07:37) Prutger
i have put dpmi mode on but still it's not working
i've also installed the game in dosbox, maybe that went wrong or something?
Note: (2003-12-29 04:15) naroin
needs DPMI mode on
