Does work on 64 bit OS. (2010-06-23 17:31) yChromosome
I have to rectify my 1st statement about not able to run on 64 bit OS. It does run on Vista 64 bit with DOSBox 0.74, I use core=dynamic and cycles=max (core=auto works, but doesn't seem to be as smooth). There are some scripting problems with some missions though, where you won't be able to complete missions, but I don't know if they're related to DOSBox.

If your OS is 64 bit, then I don't think DOSBox will run properly. I tried this game with DOSBox 0.74 on Vista 64 bit, but it plays very jerky. When I play it under Windows XP 32 bit, it runs very smooth, also I have best results with core=dynamic (DOSBox 0.73). And just make a configuration file with the "config -writeconf ....." command and include it in a shortcut, that's what I do, since every game needs different parameters.
Juddering (2010-03-18 03:04) Jaimie
Tried leaving it on auto, upping the cycle rate in increments, and maxing it out, but I still can't run the game without it juddering horribly. I'm running DOSBox on Windows 7 - it was a nuisance to find the config file as it was hidden away somewhere. What I'm really hoping for is someone to give me a nice list of exact numbers to put into the config file in the appropriate places, as I've been tweaking this bastard all morning trying to get it to run smooth. Also, every time I shut down and restart DOSBox, I have to remount the drives - is there a way to save the settings?
Works fine on v 0.73 as well (2009-08-06 08:15) Abi80
Make sure to run setmuse.exe to configure the sound card.
Can't advance to level 2 in TOD 1 (2008-12-28 23:15) Shadow_Chaser14
When I complete level 1 in Tour of Duty 1, the attack on the freighters, it says mission complete, but then when I jump to hyperspace to leave the mission, it takes me back to the briefing for the mission I just completed. Is this a problem with DOSBox?
increase dosbox cycles before hand (2007-11-12 21:38) ace2056
I'd recommend increasing the DosBox cycles (hit CTRL+F12) before you load the game. Otherwise it can be choppy. If you do it ingame the joystick or mouse will get a false input and drag to the corner of the screen.
Works Fine on V 0.70 (2007-04-25 04:20) Starglider
To get it working, you have to make sure when installing that your mounted CD drive is set to CDROM mode (By adding the -t cdrom commands to the mount command at the end). Once you do that, everything is fine.
Can't Find X-Wing CD (2007-01-08 10:24) Spitfire619x
I used DOSBox 0.60 and it tells me it can't find X-Wing CD. Help?

To start use bwing.exe instead of xwingcd.bat.
