DOSBox 0.74 Fix (2017-10-21 11:37)
dassump
Use loadfix to open the game.
loadfix -32 calgames.exe
The game runs perfectly.
Dosbox 0.63 Settings (2017-02-22 02:49)
tooly111
Game worked perfect for me under 0.63
You have to use the loadfix command ie. "loadfix 128 calgames.exe" to start the game.
Some of the main settings I used were:
output=ddraw
machine=svga_s3
aspect=true
scaler=normal2x
core=normal
cycles=3000
No problem (2009-11-26 01:31)
Sky25
Simply set machine=Tandy and select tandy 1000 mode after launching the game. Voila ! you have now nice ega graphics.
game limitation (2009-10-26 10:38)
Qbix
the fact that the input only works in cga mode is a limitation of the game. It can't handle extended keyboards.
In cga mode dosbox emulates a non-extended keyboard.

barbarian_brother
Set machine=cga in Dosbox configuration.
Use loadfix command
You can play the game and input your name, but only in CGA mode.
Note (2008-05-16 12:14)
jenergy
Using machine=cga, you can input your name
Compatibility? (2007-08-25 11:09)
Silver
Perfectly Worked under 0.63.
With 0.71, it gets stuck when you try to input your name, after you select competition games. You can still use the "Train in an event" option.
What is weird, is that I remember getting the same error when I played it on my 8086.

Striker
Use loadfix before launching the game.
(Edited by Zorbid. previous status: not playable. previous comment: When the executable is run, nothing happens, it just comes back with the prompt again.)
