If you get a choppy sound/music, try configuring dosbox as sb2, irq 7 and block size of 1024 (configuring a higher block size i had a choppy sound), put sound blaster irq7 in the kx install program.

If you are using Windows XP or Vista, it would be better to try it in actual DOS mode (like on an older computer). When it is applied copy it back to its original location. If it is in the program Files directory you cannot edit it in Windows XP or Vista unless you move it. You can also just search for the NR-18 version on the internet and download it.

Thanks for the IRQ tip, works great. Even in MS DOS on 98/Me it has that prob. Same with other MegaTech titles like Cobra Mission, so I found this tip very helpful.

If sound stutters, be sure to enable 1x frame skipping to address the issue.

Not for me. 0.61 loads the game, but ALL voice and music stutters horribly. I've tried Sound Blaster, Thunderboard, some others, and messing around with DMA/IRQ numbers, but the sound always plays the same. I run on 2k cycles with a P4 2.8ghz 512 DDR RAM...what's going on?
