I am using DOSBOX to run Jack Orlando.
It starts fine, but it freezes at the first game.
I have tried to edit CONFIG.DAT (with DAT editor HxD), but I can't seem to find 'svga_s3' in there.
The solution provided at http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=19872 had also no effect.
I am open to any suggestions! |

The game installs and runs fine under the new DOSBox version.But you have to be careful about the following:
When you install the game you let the default graphic machine "svga_s3".But when you start the game with it will freeze just at the beginning.You have to edit the DOSBox config file and change the graphic mode to "vesa_oldvbe", because that's what the game is searching for. IF you choose the "vesa_oldvbe" before the installation, the game won't be installed because the program can't find any vesa driver. :))) Strange but true.
Except this configuration issue,the game runs fine. |

The Game freezes after the start menu because it can't recognise the vesa drivers!!! The solution is there:

Follow the steps and enjoy the game without any problems! |
