SORRY it does actually work (2016-11-18 15:35) |

Please disregard my other comment. After testing out a lot of different settings, I actually managed to make the game run without much crashing, but I recommend you save often, because it does crash, but usually I can play for hours before that happens. Nevertheless, just save every time you complete some major work in the game, then you will not loose anything.
The settings I am using are:
core=normal
cputype=386
cycles=4000
sbtype=sb16
I found that it appears to run more stable with Sound Blaster 16 for some reason. Have fun!

The game suffers from various crashes, the intro crashes can be avoided by not skipping the intro, but after 20-60mins gameplay it consistently crashes.
I have had it complain about not enough EMS memory, and I have had really weird graphics crashes. The screen will turn into a matrix-like effect, with numbers words and letters spread all over.
Sometimes it also just locks up, and you will still be able to move the mouse, but the game has frozen.
I would not even list this as "Playable" personally, because gameplay is interrupted all the time, making you worry when it will crash next. |

Spotted this in the VOGONS forum: if you want to activate the Gravis Ultrasound emulation (apart from handling the creation of the ULTRASND folder and many other things I won't explain here), Reunion only works at base port 220, which is not the one by default in dosbox.conf, and which clashes with the sound blaster config. So you may have to set the sbtype=none . Imho sounds better than sound blaster/adlib but not by much. |

Intro skipping and crashing (2013-02-03 18:09) |

Skipped the intros with any key on the keyboard to avoid crashing at startup. In the dosbox config, changed core to core=normal, and sbtype to sbtype=sbpro1. I played the game for over an hour with no crashing. |

Skipping the intro with F10 key... (2013-01-06 02:08) |

Using Dosbox0.74. Going by WatcherZero's observation that the game crashes immediately if you skip the intro too fast I noticed that if you skip the (long) intro with the F10 key, the game will not crash on you vs skipping with mouse button. Can't guarantee how long the game will run before crashing though so save often.

Same problem as many others. Installs and starts OK, music plays with sound blaster, but when I click mouse button to proceed, it crashes. |

Tested in 0.63 and fully working minus slight issues with sound in first 5 seconds of intro and minor graphical glitches during the intro.
It is however easily crashed during the intro if you try to skip it too fast, take your time (this bug is there in the original too, just not as severe)
Once past Intro this game runs absoloutley 100% perfect! |
