Hi
This game I got working but am having no sound.
I did run the install from the CD and did an autodetect for sound and tested it and I here LAURA say RIGHT LETS GO ADVENTURING as she should say proving the test worked, but when I run the game it plays fine as far as I can tell but unable to hear anything.
Also I just tested this and I can't save games.
Is there a way to install games (any games) so that I can hear sounds and save games as I progress through them??
Thanks |

Tested with a Phenom II X4 B55, ATi Radeon HD 4250, Windows 7 x64 SP1.
It was the Unfinished Bussiness edition, bought yesterday from a second hand shop. Works awesomely with default configuration, but the DirectDraw (ddraw) Output mode can fill the whole screen, even in FMVs. Great job DOSBox crew keep it up! :) |

Perfect with v0.74 (2011-02-06 15:11) |

Using v0.74 and a CoreDuo computer it worked fine using default values.
And even better, if you have the 3DFX patch and the "Unfinished Business" add-on they both work with Ykhwong's SVN. With default values, again. |

game is fully playable on an athlon xp 2000+ (1.6 ghz) but it's slow (it's like having tomb raider to work on a 486 66Mhz)

I was able to play Tomb Raider at 25fps on average, with 75000 cycles, using latest CVS. That's WITH sound and CD music! Game is excellent, and still fun to play. |

I'm using DOSBox 0.63
I have a Pentium 4 HT at 2.4 GHz and Tomb Raider runs at 1 - 2 fps.
I can't enable digital sound (like shots), only environment sound (it's played directy from CD).
The movies are missing, it's simply skipped when start to play.
The game isn't playable, because fps are too low. |

tomb raider 1 still isn't fully playable with dosbox 0.62, though sound and graphics are working all right the fps are still around 5-8 (fps estimated, pentium m 1,5ghz, 512mb ram) which would mean an performance-improvement by the factor 2 to 4. anyway, improvement is visible and i guess with a couple more dosbox-versions to go one can actually play (and enjoy) it. |

I don't know HOW zefo played Tomb Raider in
DOSBox, but it's totally wrong!!
In DOSBox 0.60 you can NOT play Tomb Raider.
You can only see DOS4GW and command prompt.
It is, 0% supported in DOSBox 0.60 |
